"Thanks" Message:   I have own Volvo's since the 70's, and always dreamed of the "American Muscle" car. My wife and I splurged this year and jumped at the opportunity to get the last year Camaro 35th. I would like to thank the employees, designers, engineers and thinkers at SLP, St. Therese and General Motors for this Camaro. The workmanship and design are incredible. I have never experienced so many admirable ooohs and aaahs. From kids playing on skateboards to fellow workers, there is always a look of "wow, what a car."

The 345 hp package commands the road. most respect what the car is capable of but the ones who get visibly dissed are the rice burners.

Finally, I agree with all the car mags other Camaro owners "where else can you get so much torque, horsepower, style, performance and just plain "Heartbeat(pound) of America" for under 40 grand?

My wife and I extend our prayers and best wishes to all who have lost their job with the closing of your plant. May you prosper and quickly find new employment. Thanks again for building my car...ssbliss...

F-Body Story:   SOOOOO many already since May 25, 2002.

3 times stopped in traffic...1. Trucker pulls up in a huge rig, starts shouting down at me with the ttops off..."what year is that?" "Brand new" I reply. He says "awesome machine,I've got a Firebird at home, you made a great choice, happy motoring."

2. Stopped in huge line up with wife, rush hour traffic s/b into Toronto on DVP, a guy on a new Harley motorcycle, I see in the rear view mirror weaving his way up between the rows of stopped traffic, stops at my passenger door. I think, this guy is stupid to be doing that, then he yells at me...Where'd you get the Camaro? I said "Highland Chev-Olds in Aurora." He says "did you put that exhaust on it or did it come like that?"
(dd-centre mount/flow). I replied that it came like this from SLP.

By this time some of the traffic had started moving ahead of us. We don't move, he keeps talking "gotta get me one, I hope not too late to get these Camaros, but I love it man!" I thanked him and said all the best.

3. Many other stories, but this one makes my heart pound when I think of it. Yesterday (October 04) I went to the Shannonville Speedway. My service manager was there (he drives a modified 700hp Camaro on the Trans-Am Series). They had booked the track (GT track, not an oval) for Fbody and others to try their skills. Well, since the public highways are just never long or safe enough to stretch the LS1 potential, I finally was talked into bringing my SS onto the track. "but what about the warranty?" I says...the manager replies "don't worry one little bit, these SS's can be driven all day, every day, this car would sure appreciate getting to stretch its arms and legs, it won't break!"
So, with some help from the professionals, I was able to take it out myself for as many laps as I wanted. Man, o man, you could not get the smile off my face, knowing what this car is capable of and the exciting handling and performance It truly is the "Heartpound of America"
